Remember the rules…
While we’d love to convert all of your media into a digital format, we are required to follow all federal laws regarding media conversion. By federal law, we are not permitted to digitize copyrighted material from third parties without their explicit permission. (This includes all of our favorite Disney, Pixar, and other commercial movies.) As long as they’re home movies of friends and family, you should be in the clear!
The fine details and legal information
While we’d love to claim that we can convert anything, there are laws that prohibit us from converting several types of media. We are legally prohibited from converting material that is copyrighted by a third party without their consent.
Additionally, we refuse to convert any material that we deem obscene and inappropriate. This includes pornographic or sexual videos or photos.
The safety of our workers and community is a vital part of our mission to help you relive your past memories. If we discover any material that is illegal, we will immediately release all media and information over to the appropriate law enforcement division. This material includes BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO videos of abuse, animal cruelty, child abuse, elder abuse, child pornography, and other illegal activities.
